Swimming Lessons for Adults

In my 50's I decided to learn to swim. If you want to learn to swim or improve your technique, I can personally recommend the following swim schools locally

  • Brighton Swimming School

    Based at Brighton Swimming Centre, Eastern Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 5JJ. They offer both children and adult swim sessions. I had great one to one beginners lessons with James when I first chose to learn to swim

    Based at the outdoor Pells Pool, Brook Street, Lewes, BN7 2BA. Patrick is a fantastic teacher. Lessons come in 5 week blocks

  • Sea Lanes

    Sea Lanes, based at  299 Madeira Drive, Brighton BN2 1EN provide coaching and video your technique in an endless swimming pool. Andy has been brilliant in helping me to improve my technique. The video never lies!

Cycling

I am a British Cycling Level 1 Cycling Coach and a 'Breeze Champion'. Breeze is an initiative aimed at getting more women into cycling.

Click on the link below for Women Only Breeze rides this summer. They range from rides of 5 miles to 40 miles. They are free and supported but you will need to sign up

I also volunteer as a ride leader at Brighton Mitre Cycling Club

The 1st and 3rd Sunday's of the month are open to none members to join us on our social rides called Come and Try It (CATI) which aims to average at 12-14 mph and Steady Social which aims to average at 14-16 mph.

Running

I have a Leadership in Running Fitness Certificate.

My background is in marathon and ultra running. I have run aver 150 marathons which include 52 marathons in 52 weeks and about 30 ultra marathons. I can offer running support and motivation.

Would you like to follow a Couch to 5k training program? I can organise for groups of office workers after work or a group of friends who just want to get fitter.
