Hi I'm Maria

I'm a massage therapist and well-being practitioner based in Brighton and I offer a range of in-clinic massage treatments from Clinical and Sports massage to assist with pain and injury to complementary therapies such as Reflexology.

I also work in offices and at events helping to support the well-being of workers and staff teams with massage sessions to help relax minds and soothe achy shoulders and backs. I also offer Display Screen Equipment Risk Assessments.

As a well-being practitioner, it is my personal mission to encourage people to be more active. I am a level 1 British Cycling Coach and Breeze Champion. Breeze is British Cycling initiative that aims to get more women on their bikes. Lastly I'm qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness through England Athletics.

I have a strong belief in treating the whole person and recognise the importance of stress reduction in the treatment of pain and chronic conditions.

From sports people to office workers or gardeners and labourers. I can help you

I will listen to you when you come for a treatment with me.

Your consultation is as important part of your session as the massage itself.

As a professional I'm registered with The Sports Therapy Organisation and hold full professional insurance through Balens. I am fully DBS certified.

My story

Life as a therapist began  in the 1990’s when I studied Shiatsu. I later trained in several holistic therapies giving me a  firm grounding, but I really got hooked on massage for injury and pain relief after completing my first life changing marathon.

It was at that point that I began to make this work my vocation and trained as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist and then went on to complete the Certificate in Advanced Clinical Massage at The Jing Massage School giving me many of the advanced techniques I use.

Recently, I've trained as a level one cycling coach and champion women's cycling. I am also able to lead running groups. I've been providing massage therapy in offices since 2012 and now can offer Display Screen Equipment risk assessments as part of that package

My commitment to You

I love my work. It is more rewarding than I could ever have imagined. I am very committed and look forward to meeting you and helping you in your recovery from injury or pain. I also will do everything that I can to help you to stay in good health and fitness and promote your relaxation and well being.

Massage is Helping me to Achieve my Own Personal Goals

I have run well over 100 marathons including a personal goal of 52 marathons in 52 weeks and many ultra marathons. I am a member of Vegan Runners UK.

I love taking part in cyclo sportives and am a member of Brighton Mitre Cycling Club.

One of my latest goals is to learn to swim. This is probably the most difficult sports challenge I have ever set myself.

Because I believe in the techniques that I use, I am committed to regularly receiving treatments. This means I know what works and what a good massage feels like.
