Hi I'm Maria
I'm a level 5 Clinical and Sports massage therapist and well-being practitioner based in Brighton and I offer a range of in-clinic massage treatments to assist with pain and injury in addition to complementary therapies to support your well-being when you are in need of some 'you time'
I also work in offices and at events helping to support the well-being of workers and staff teams with massage sessions to help relax minds and soothe achy shoulders and backs. As part of this service, I am qualified and insured to offer Display Screen Equipment Risk Assessments in your workplace.
As a well-being practitioner, it is my personal mission to encourage people to be more active. I am a level 1 British Cycling Coach and Breeze Champion. Breeze is British Cycling initiative that aims to get more women on their bikes. Lastly I'm qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness through England Athletics.
I have a strong belief in treating the whole person and recognise the importance of stress reduction in the treatment of pain and chronic conditions.
From sports people to office workers or gardeners and labourers. I can help you
I will listen to you when you come for a treatment with me.
Your consultation is as important part of your session as the massage itself.
As a professional I'm registered with The Sports Therapy Organisation (Sports Massage Member) and hold full professional insurance through Balens. I am fully DBS certified.

My story
Life as a therapist began in the 1990’s when I studied Shiatsu. I later trained in several holistic therapies giving me a firm grounding, but I really got hooked on massage for injury and pain relief after completing my first life changing marathon.
It was at that point that I began to make this work my vocation and trained as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist and then went on to complete the Certificate in Advanced Clinical Massage at The Jing Massage School giving me many of the advanced techniques I use.
Recently, I've trained as a level one cycling coach and champion women's cycling. I am also able to lead running groups. I've been providing massage therapy in offices since 2012 and now can offer Display Screen Equipment risk assessments as part of that package
